Description
The Turkish Blue Lotus Dessert Bowl is shaped like a lotus flower, with a scalloped rim and soft ridges running down each petal. Made in Hasami ware porcelain, it is finished in a turquoise glaze that thins to white along the edges of the petals. The vivid color recalls clear skies and still water and brings a fresh accent to any meal.
The soft matte finish highlights the sculpted form while creating a natural backdrop for bright ingredients. On the outside, a faceted diamond pattern circles the lower half of the bowl. Sized for desserts, fruit, yogurt, or small salads, it is easy to use every day. The petal-like silhouette frames each dish neatly, making even simple servings feel special.
Made at Koshun Kiln in Hasami, the bowl shows the kiln’s long focus on glazes and firing. The Turkish Blue Lotus Dessert Bowl suits both casual meals and festive gatherings, whether used as a single accent piece or as part of a larger table setting.

Hasami ware
Hasami ware, a traditional porcelain from Nagasaki Prefecture, has been crafted for over 400 years in the town of Hasami—just about 10 kilometers from Arita, the birthplace of Japan’s porcelain. While Arita ware flourished as an art form known for its elaborate decorations and luxury appeal, Hasami developed as a center for everyday tableware, valued for its practicality and refined simplicity. During the Edo period, Hasami became one of Japan’s main producers of daily-use porcelain, supplying durable and beautifully made pieces to households across the country. That spirit continues today, as Hasami artisans blend traditional craftsmanship with modern design, creating timeless and often playfully charming tableware that fits perfectly into contemporary life.Dessert Bowl
This small bowl is adaptable for any course. It's an ideal size to serve desserts and sweets. For the main meal, it can hold sunomono (vinegared salad), aemono (dressed dish), nimono (simmered dish), or chinmi (special delicacy). It makes a good individual dish for hot pot or when serving a small portion from a large platter. Small bowls in different shapes and colors add personality and variety to your tablescape.Shipping & Return
